Prior to and since Covid lockdown the trustees have embarked upon a planned programme of improvements to the village hall facilities. Completed works to date include: Installation of a new main kitchen, upgrading all external doors and windows, installation of eco-heating in the small hall, redecoration of the small hall, installation of free broadband/Wi-Fi, new curtains and wall lights in the large hall, replacing all small tables in the large hall, upgrading all seating in the small hall and upgrading the electrical infrastructure to modern standards.
Throughout the summer months of 2024 we’ve been busy planning our next phase of improvements which will include new cladding and insulation – to give us a face lift and reduce our carbon footprint even further. Also we plan a major upgrade to the canopied courtyard which will create a great social space for indoor/outdoor events. All being well, work on these significant projects will begin in Q1 2025.
This was very well attended and a great fun night. Congratulations to “Team B” who ended up as champions – but by only 1 point! Look out for the next Village Hall Quiz which we plan to be in Spring 2025.
