A spud-tacular start to the year – Badwell Ash’s first quiz night of 2026!

Our first quiz night of 2026 was an incredible success, bringing together the community for an evening of friendly competition, delicious food, and plenty of brain flexing. We raised an amazing £882.98 towards the continued funds we pour back into the village hall.

The hall was packed with excitement as a grand total of 19 teams battled it out across 8 rounds of challenging questions. We were thrilled to welcome 100 people who filled the hall with their strategic minds and enthusiastic attitudes. The atmosphere was abuzz, a true testament to the vibrant spirit of a Badwell Ash quiz night.

And what's a quiz night without some hearty sustenance? Our hungry quizzers devoured a whopping 70 jacket potatoes! A big thank you to TATOS for parking up and serving us on the evening. They were the perfect fuel for a night of intense quizzing.

The competition was fierce throughout the evening, culminating in a truly tense finish. After the final round, two teams found themselves locked in a tie-break. The fate of the evening rested on a single, final question that had everyone on the edge of their seats.

After anxious silence, Quizzy Rascals emerged victorious, claiming the coveted title of our first quiz champions of the year! A massive congratulations to them for keeping their cool under pressure.

This brilliant evening wouldn't have been possible without the dedication and hard work of many. A huge and heartfelt thank you goes out to all the trustees of Badwell Ash Village Hall. Your tireless efforts in organising, setting up, and running the event made it a seamless and enjoyable experience for everyone.
