Christmas Fayre
A Festive Extravaganza at Badwell Ash Christmas Fayre!
Badwell Ash Village Hall was thick with festive cheer and the aroma of mulled wine on Saturday 22nd November, as the community gathered for the Christmas Fayre. It was a truly wonderful event, with so many people coming along to support. It of course brought together local talent, delicious treats, and a fantastic community spirit, all while raising funds for our beloved community village hall.
We had twenty stalls in the two halls, each a mix of unique, festive, and thoughtful gift ideas for Christmas. From handcrafted jewellery and bespoke decorations to beautifully made textiles, ceramics, and artisanal edibles, there was something for everyone. It was the perfect opportunity to find those special, one-of-a-kind presents and support local crafters and small businesses.

Of course, no Christmas Fayre would be complete without some festive refreshments. Visitors were kept warm with steaming mugs of mulled wine, freshly brewed tea and coffee, and an irresistible selection of homemade cakes. For those needing a more substantial bite, the ever-popular bacon rolls were a huge hit, providing the perfect fuel for all that festive shopping.
One of the highlights of the day was the incredibly varied raffle, boasting an impressive array of prizes that had everyone eager to try their luck. We extend our sincerest thanks to all the generous individuals and local businesses who kindly donated prizes, making the raffle such a resounding success. Your contributions truly made a difference!
We are absolutely thrilled to announce that the Badwell Ash Christmas Fayre raised an incredible £630.09! This fantastic sum will go directly towards the ongoing fundraising efforts for our village hall, ensuring that this vital community space can continue to thrive and serve the residents of Badwell Ash for years to come.
Finally, a very special and heartfelt thank you must go to the incredible Midge for her tireless efforts in organising such a brilliant and successful event. Her dedication and hard work truly brought the Christmas spirit to life in our village hall, and we are all incredibly grateful.
Here's to a fantastic Christmas season, and we look forward to next year's Christmas Fayre!
